HQ STC and RAF High Wycombe is spread over three sites situated in the village of Walters Ash Buckinghamshire, which is within the Chilterns, an area of outstanding beauty. The largest town in Buckinghamshire is High Wycombe which is 5 miles south of RAF High Wycombe. The centre of London is forty minutes by train and RAF High Wycombe lies close to the M40. Small country towns like Marlow, Henley-on-Thames, Beaconsfield, Wendover and Prices Risborough are only a short distance away.
HQ Air Command at RAF High Wycombe, situated at Naphill was formed on 1st April 2007, when the RAF’s Personnel, Training Command and Strike Command merged.
The Creation of a single Command, with a single fully integrated Headquarters has better equipped the RAF to provide a coherent and coordinated single Air Focus to the other services, MOD Head Office, the permanent Joint Headquarters and the rest of the MOD.
All editorial is written by serving officers and personnel, encouraging historical retention and not being disposed of as many other publications and newspapers are. The advertising pages are used as a directory of services and facilities of the local areas.
The advertising covers Housing, Shopping, Motoring, Schools and Education, Interests and hobbies as well as Sporting activities and varied other subjects.
The magazine is distributed free of charge to all military and civilian personnel and many private companies on and off the base who are involved with RAF High Wycombe. All advertisers receive a copy of the magazine with their invoice.
Wycombe World magazine is published 4 times a year March, June, September, and December, most advertisers book all 4 issues for the year to receive preferential rates.
